The first chairlift in Texas provides mountain bikers with 350 vertical feet of gravity filled fun! From the top, you have the choice of 5 trails ranging from beginner to expert to bring you back to the bottom of the lift.

All bike trails are for downhill use only.
No hiking on designated bike trails. Use hiking uphill road indicated on the map.
Bikers may encounter heavy equipment at any time on the trails. USE EXTREME CAUTION in these areas.
Please stay on designated mountain bike trails. Off-trail riding contributes to soil erosion and is not safe due to unforeseen obstacles, hazards and wildlife.
Be prepared for rapidly changing weather conditions. Each rider should carry rain gear, sunscreen, water, an extra layer and a snack.
Helmets are MANDATORY.
NO DRONE ZONE
Due to safety and privacy concerns, Spider Mountain prohibits the operation or use on or above Resort property of unmanned aerial systems, or drones, by the general public.
This prohibition extends to any devices launched or operated from Resort property, as well as any launched from public or private property outside of the Resort boundaries.
Hike or mountain bike at your own risk. You must sign a release for your own knowledge and safety to ride the lift at any time.
Trail difficulty is based on the environment - be prepared for hill country terrain, heat and changing weather conditions. Although trails may be rated by difficulty, you should assess your own ability and select trails you feel you will be comfortable riding. It is wise to carry plenty of water and energy food. Excessive heat strain can occur in hot temperatures and humidity - stay hydrated to avoid heat exhaustion. Be familiar with basic bike repair and carry sufficient tools to make emergency repairs.
WHAT TO WEAR
Make sure to wear clothing you feel comfortable riding in. Pants are not recommended, but if you are riding with pants, we recommend rolling them up at the cuff.
Gloves are a must-have while riding. Gloves protect your hands and grip the bars over bumps.
All shoes must be closed-toe, protective, and have traction with your pedals. Pedals with cages are not recommended because they can be challenging step out of if you need to put a foot down quickly. If you have clipless mountain bike shoes and pedals, make sure you feel comfortable clipping in and out before using them.
Helmets are MANDATORY at Spider Mountain. There are two types of cycling helmets: standard and full-face. Standard helmets are great for first-timers on beginner trails. We recommend full-face helmets for intermediate and advanced trails.
We are in a natural environment and share this space with wildlife like mountain lions and rattlesnakes. Stay on trails and watch out for spiders!
Obstacles may be encountered at any time on the trail. Please watch for trail intersections and be alert in order to avoid collisions with other bikers.
The roads at Spider Mountain are public space and shared by the residents who live there. You may encounter a vehicle at any time. Please use caution.
