NEw Trail Alert

Introducing “Cedar Fever”, our new blue tech trail!

Take a lift-served mountain bike lap on our newest blue trail, Cedar Fever. Complete with a bit of everything: fresh berms, optional jumps and drops, rock gardens, and topped off with Texas Loam this trail is truly something to behold. This trail is perfect for the beginner who is looking to level up or intermediate to expert riders who want to progress their skills on a brand-new trail.

Riders first put tires on the trail just last weekend at our very first Hill Country Downhill race. We quickly heard comments around the mountain such as “really good jumps, good drops, rock gardens, a little bit of everything. Really fun!” “Awesome work!” “It’s running good!” But don’t take our word for it, check it out on SpidieKing TV.

If you haven’t heard, Spider Mountain is the only lift-served bike park in the state of Texas and the only bike park with a chairlift to operate year-round. All of this is in the beautiful Texas Hill Country and right on the banks of Lake Buchanan. Even if you are not a biker, taking a scenic chairlift ride on the Texas Eagle lift is a truly unique experience where you can take in unrelieved views of the Hill Country. Stick around for a while at Thunderbird Lodge, our bike-in bike-out lodging with access to Lake Buchanan.

Is Cedar Fever for me?

Cedar Fever is a blue or intermediate flow trail featuring optional jumps and drops, berms, rock gardens, off-cambers, and more. Really a bit of everything which makes it a great trail to progress skills on.

Want to take a lesson?

Spider Mountain is here to help you build your mountain biking skills. Like any sport, the better you get, the more fun you have. Currently, we offer FREE Into to Bike Park Lessons every Saturday. Head over to our lessons page to learn more.

If you are a blue rider looking to progress their skills check out our event calendar. We have skills clinics once a month that are designed to take blue riders to the next level.

Is Cedar Fever top to bottom?

Not yet. While it flows top to bottom, Cedar Fever is currently the section in the middle of the mountain with other trails leading into it and out of it keeping it flowing incredibly well. We will be building a new top section for HCDH Stop #2 and tweaking things constantly to make it the best it can be.

Do I need a lift ticket?

Yes! We require a lift ticket for all riders using our trails. The Texas Eagle spins Friday through Monday from 8a to 4p in addition to bonus weeks during select holiday periods where we are open 7 days a week. You can save money when you buy your lift ticket online and early on our lift ticket calendar. If you want to pedal up to ride our trails when we the lift isn’t running you are more than welcome to just make sure to stop by the office to sign a waiver and pay the $15 land fee.

Are the drops and jumps mandatory?

Nope! All of them are optional/rollable making them perfect for rider progression of a variety of skill levels.

Do you have a retail shop?

Yes! We have a retail shop right at the bottom of the lift where you can find apparel, Spider logo-wear, bike gear, snacks, beer, and more! Head over to our retail page to learn more.
