Spider Mountain was super stoked to welcome a cheery crew of leaders and coaches from The Texas Interscholastic Mountain Bike League (#aleagueasbigastexas) to the trails and cabins for their Annual Leader Summit.
The league’s mission is “to establish and maintain safe, quality middle and high school mountain bike programs” and they work hard to make that happen. From a Texas-wide NICA race series to active trail stewardship, this impressive group of community leaders provides student athletes in grades 6-12 with opportunities to develop a passion for mountain biking and a love for their MTB community.
At the Leader Summit, the coaches had a full schedule of events to fine-tune their skills. They honed their riding prowess and participated in coaching clinics, plus enjoyed the air conditioning at the events center for lectures and first aid training. After a weekend full of classroom time and shredding the downhill bike trails at Spider Mountain and XC trails at Reveille Peak Ranch, this epic league of mountain bikers is ready to kick off the season and get #morekidsonbikes.
