Lake Levels Are Rising And So Is The Stoke!

Watertied and Spider Mountain bring you a lake party at Thunderbird Lodge

Water You Waiting For?

Lake Buchanan is on the rise, and that’s big news for anyone who likes to mix a little splash with their shred. The boat access is back in business (well, mostly), and Spider Mountain just became your one-stop spot for full-send summer days.

What’s Open at the Lake?

  • Boat launch: OPEN
If you’re rocking a shallow-running boat 22 feet or smaller, you’re good to go. We’ve got 32 feet of water at the ramp, and both single and dual axle trailers should be good to launch. A $20 fee is required at the Thunderbird Lodge front desk.
  • Fuel Dock & Slips: COMING SOON
These aren’t quite ready yet, but we’re working fast to get them opened up. Expect more updates soon.
  • SUP And Kayak Rentals: AVAILABLE IN-PERSON
Rent a stand-up paddleboard at Thunderbird Lodge for $20/hour or $75/day and cruise the calm morning waters or cool off after your downhill laps.

Your Dream Day Looks Like This

  • Downhill laps at Spider Mountain in the morning
  • Lake vibes and cold drinks in the afternoon
  • A relaxing night at Thunderbird Lodge just steps from the water

Whether you’re towing a boat, tossing in a fishing line, or just showing up with flip-flops and a full-suspension bike, Spider Mountain is the place to be right now!

Non-bikers must purchase a $20 ticket at the base of Spider Mountain or Thunderbird Lodge to access scenic lift rides, pool, lake, and more.

The Stoke Is Back On Lake Buchanan

Lake Buchanan hasn’t been this inviting in a while. The water’s back, the toys are ready, and the lake is coming to life. That means more ways to spend the day and more reasons to stick around southern Texas Hill Country.
