FREE Intro To Bike Park Lessons
FREE beginner mountain bike lessons are offered on select Saturdays at 9:00 am for ages 10+. If this is your first time experiencing lift-served mountain biking, this lesson will get you started on the right track. If you have been downhill biking before but are looking to build your confidence and skills, our lessons will reinforce the fundamentals you need to conquer the trails. The Details
The Flow
- Go over equipment and safety fundamentals.
- Start with flat ground training focused on bike/body position, braking, tracking, balance, and confidence.
- Practice descending and cornering in our purpose-built beginner skills zone, Creepy Crawly Skills Park. Put your freshly learned fundamentals into real trail scenarios.
- Learn to load your bike onto the chairlift like a pro and soar to the summit on the Texas Eagle.
- Conquer Itsy Bitsy on a progression-filled lap with your new riding buddies.
- Go again! Ask your coach for some pro-tips about which to trails ride when you’ve conquered Itsy Bitsy.
Cost
This lesson is completely FREE to sign up for. Please register below in the “Registration” drop down. Lift tickets or season passes are required for lessons, remember to buy your tickets online & early to score the best deals.
Start Time
All lessons start at 9:00am and last 90 minutes. Meet by the bike shop by 8:45am. Tires roll at 9:00 am. We recommend arriving early so you have time to get any lift tickets, rentals, or gear that you need.
Skills Requirement
We require that you have some experience biking on trails and have experience on slopes that require the use of both brakes.
We highly recommend the use of armour pads and full face helmets during lessons. Better safe than sorry!
