Wow! We are just about two weeks into a massive trail improvement project here at Spider Mountain and we are stoked to share some updates.
If you’ve been following along, you’re already familiar with Spider Mountain Reimagined, our current initiative to revamp our trails with an emphasis on rider progression. Keep reading to learn about what we’ve done so far and what we have upcoming.
Here’s what we’ve done so far:
Antidote – This once blue trail has been Reimagined as Spider Mountain’s first advanced black jump line. Updates bring bigger features, faster flow, and more forgiving landings. See the changes. Watch a POV of the trail in action.
Recluse – This line has been Reimagined to bring even more flow, smoother jumps, and some epic berms. This intermediate blue trail is made for rider progression, bringing that floating sensation to riders of different abilities. Feel the flow as you practice your skills on berms and rollers, or bring your speed and be rewarded with fast air and rippin’ corners. The new exit has A, B, and C lines to give riders 3 options on a path that leads to building their skills on drops and jumps.
Venom – More fun than ever before, Venom has been Reimagined to keep you excited the whole way down. Bigger tabletops with better lips and landings make for a smoother jumping experience throughout. The wooded singletrack at the bottom has also gained new features that give you more opportunities to get air and go faster.
New Trail Section:
Itsy Bitsy – Introducing beginner mountain bikers to their new favorite sport, Itsy Bitsy has been Regimagined to be even more approachable, achievable, and less intimidating. A new bottom section has been cut that diverts around the “big berms”, offering an even easier way down. The big berms will become a continuation of Centipede. Reimagined Itsy Bitsy target opening Feb 17. There are no foreseen trail closures of Itsy Bitsy due to trail work.
