Spider Mountain Trail Updates

Stay in the know with everything happening on the mountain! These updates reflect real work on real trails, shaped by rider feedback and what our crew sees happening every weekend.

New updates will be added weekly. If you ride here, this is your spot to stay in the loop.

January 5th Update: Vipers Den Takes the Win

You showed up, voted loud, and made it clear with our first poll at Spider Mountain! Vipers Den Refresh came out on top and it’s officially on our crew’s hit list. We see it, we hear it, and it’s coming soon!

This week the focus is on Hill Country Downhill 2026 Stop #1. Our team is locked in on dialing trails for race day so HCDH brings fresh tracks and all the stoke! Once the dust settles from race weekend, Vipers Den is up next.

If you’re planning to race, a quick reminder that registration is open now! This season also brings a new Power Kids split with separate 10–12 and 9 and under divisions, giving young riders a better, more competitive race experience. And as a reminder, all kids 12 and under race and ride FREE with the Power Kids Pass.

Stay tuned! More trail updates and our next poll will be coming soon right here and across our socials.

January 1st Updates

Daddy Long Legs Beginner Trail

Riders asked for a true confidence-building trail for newer riders and the next generation. Daddy Long Legs was built to be approachable, progressive, and fun, giving riders a place to learn without feeling overwhelmed.

This trail strengthens progression from the ground up and opens the door for more riders to grow at Spider.

Sleep Tight Drop Landing Rework

Riders loved the drop but wanted a smoother landing. The crew reworked the landing to improve flow and control while keeping the feature true to its original intent.

Same feature. Better ride out.

Venom Jump Line Refresh

Venom has always been a favorite, and expectations were high. Based on rider feedback, the line was refreshed to improve takeoffs, landings, and overall rhythm.

The result is a smoother, faster, more consistent jump line that still delivers the send.

HCDH Power Kids Division Split

Parents spoke up, and we listened. For Hill Country Downhill 2026, the Power Kids category is now split into two divisions: ages 10–12 and 9 and under.

This creates a fairer, more confidence-building race environment while keeping competition fun and progression focused.

None of these projects were random. They came directly from conversations on trail, messages online, and feedback from the Spider community.
