HILL COUNTRY DOWNHILL 2026 • Stop #1
October 16 @ 9:00 am – October 17 @ 4:00 pm
We’re incredibly STOKED for Stop #1 of Hill Country Downhill 2026 happening Oct. 16 and 17! This is the biggest downhill MTB race in Texas and a can’t miss event!
This fall, we’re running a new two-day format:
Friday, October 16: Practice laps for all categories and seeding laps for Cat 1/Pro class only. All race entrants can ride for free on Friday, but you don’t need to be there if you’d rather show up on Saturday. Please note: EVERYONE can practice on Friday, only Cat1/Pro does seeding on Friday.
Race entrants must pay for two-day access to practice the race courses on Friday. Only those who have a number plate on their bike will be allowed on course to preserve room for racers.
Saturday, October 17: Race day. Just show up and send it! Riders get one hour of practice from 9-10am on Saturday. The rider meeting from the previous day will be recorded and posted on our race director’s Instagram page, his whatsapp group, posted to the Wiredgravity website on everyone’s home page, and email blasted to all race registrants.
IMPORTANT: You MUST register online. Same-day registration on race day will not be allowed!

- NEW! Categories: Bobbleheads, a beginner friendly race that doesn’t require a lift ticket! Riders will race on a 250′ track at the bottom of the mountain. 14 and under race free on the Bobbleheads course. 15 and over must pay $25.

All non-race trails will remain open to the public and race spectators are WELCOME and highly encouraged. Please check-in at the ticket window for a spectator wristband and grab a cowbell to rally the racers!

Pricing will vary based off race category, passholder status, and whether or not a rider will be present on Friday.
Single Stop Pricing for Friday (seeding) + Saturday (race) + Registration:

Pro/Cat 1 (Non-Passholder) – $135
Cat 2 & 3 (Season Passholder) – $80
Cat 2 & 3 (Non-Passholder) – $120

Timing
We will be using a highly accurate and in-house developed photocell-based timing system that is all based of your Plate Number for the season. Make sure to pick up your RACE PLATE and KEEP IT FOR THE WHOLE SEASON.

Spectating
Texas, the birthplace of Tailgating, where fans make cheering as fun as the sport itself. Downhill Mountain Biking? No different! Even if you’re not riding, come out to spectate and cheer on our racers.
As a race spectator, we encourage you to stay in designated spectator zones marked with signage. A map showcasing these zones is currently being made and will be available long before race day. If you wish to spectate outside of the designated zones, you MUST STAY AWAY from timing sensors on the track. Any timing sensors that are walked through can ruin the timing for a racer. All sensors will be marked with signage and caution tape.
