These bike parks include Spider Mountain, Purgatory, Lee Canyon, Brian Head, and Pajarito. Get a peak of what each park has to offer when it comes to fueling your summer adventures.
Purgatory Resort (Durango, CO)
Some of Colorado’s best biking terrain can be found in Durango. Purgatory’s bike park is no exception. Featuring podium-quality terrain for all abilities and serves as the gateway to over 400 miles of high alpine singletrack and backcountry trails in Colorado’s San Juan Mountains. The daily lift-served biking starts on June 15 and runs through August 18. Even after that, the resort is open for biking on Friday through Sunday from August 23rd through October 6th.
Brian Head Resort (Brian Head, UT)
Southern Utah’s premier bike park, Brian Head Resort, features an extensive trail system with over 200 miles of trails, from beginner-friendly paths to challenging downhill routes. For those seeking the ultimate backcountry experience in Utah’s Red Rock Country, use the Giant Steps Express lift to access a large network of trails beyond the resort, including the 190 mile Aquarius Trail. Lift-served biking is available Fridays through Sundays starting on June 14th through September 29th, conditions permitting.
Pajarito (Los Alamos, NM)
Pajarito Mountain in New Mexico has a variety of trails and features catering to experienced riders with more than 1,400 feet of vertical and over 30 trails. The bike park offers technical trails with steep descents, tight turns and various natural obstacles. The only volunteer-built, lift-served mountain bike park in the country. Pajarito features old-school, hand-cut trails, along with North Shore-style wooden features guaranteed to test the mettle of any rider. The lift turns on Saturdays and Sundays, starting June 1 through September.
Lee Canyon (Las Vegas, Nevada)
Less than an hour from Las Vegas, Lee Canyon’s bike park debuted in 2022 making it the one of the region’s newset set of bike trail. A welcome escape where temperatures are consistently 30 degrees cooler than the city. Catering to all skill levels, the park features trails built by Gravity Logic and a brand-new excavated jump line. Enjoy daily lift-served biking from June 10 through October, weather permitting. Whether beginner or expert, Lee Canyon provides a refreshing adventure just a short drive away from the heat of Las Vegas.
Spider Mountain (Burnet, TX)
Just under an hour’s drive northwest of Austin, Spider Mountain is the nation’s only year-round, lift-operated mountain bike resort. With 19 diverse trails, catering to both beginner and expert riders, Spider Mountain is located on the shores of beautiful Lake Buchanan, and promises an exceptional experience for all. The 2024 Mountain Bike Power Pass provides unlimited mountain bike uplift access at Spider Mountain through 8/27/2024.
